Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
I got a 5 bil clear in Illvelo. I played Radirgy Noa a few times in the arcade before Illvelo. Got to the end of stage 6 relatively easy. Played Illvelo for a few weeks (never beat the TLB) but was happy w/ my score so put it away. Busted out Radirgy Noa and it's taken me a while to realize that I have no shield as a default. Thus far I've gotten to stage 9 w/ about 110 million, which would make the 2nd extend at 150 mil difficult. I think I'm doing something wrong.
I didn't play the first Radirgy enough to comment on it's difficulty, but it's probably somewhere in that range, requiring more timing & practice than Illvelo & definitely more than Karous.

So can anyone clarify once and for all whether it's Noa or Noah? I'm getting tired of renaming the thread.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

It's Noa for sure.
I had an email from Milestone (as I don't read Japanese I asked them what I had to do with the code in the box, I've explained this a few posts ago), they said :

etc...Dear Mr. Hydeux,

Thank you very much for checking about Radirgy Noa.
That's exactly what I thought when I gave the game a few tries ! (my best was below 95 millions)GaijinPunch wrote:which would make the 2nd extend at 150 mil difficult. I think I'm doing something wrong.

One of the trains I believe in the 3rd stage boss are has Noa written on it as well.MathU wrote:So can anyone clarify once and for all whether it's Noa or Noah? I'm getting tired of renaming the thread.
EDIT: You get 500 mil for destroying the boss on the odd numbered stages. That will likely get you there on stage 8 or 9.

Huuuum... My English is not sufficient here...EDIT: You get 500 mil for destroying the boss on the odd numbered stages.
You mean the ship between the "real" stages ? 500 millions ???
If that's this ship, there no need focusing on the small fry around it, or just at the end, to get a x16 multiplier.
I definitely have to stop Illvelo and turn my TV to play this Noa !

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noa
Yeah, that's the ship. There's a video on Nico Nico where the guy takes out the ship on stage 7, and gets a ton of points, easily getting the extend. In his notes he mentions the difficulty of the game, specifically b/c the extends are so far apart.

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noa
Would you have a link for this video ? (I have a nico nico account, but I don't read Japanese and a search for Radirgy Noa gave nothing)
I'd like to know HOW this ship can be defeated : looks like you need ages to make its lifebar drop by a half !
EDIT :
Just gave it a few tries : indeed it's really hard (insane ! but not insane like Illvelo : INSANE !!!), indeed I don't know how to defeat the "interlude" ship (Dreamer09 is its name), indeed the second extend seems to be out of reach...
Best so far : 95 millions, stage 7 (out of 9 I think)
There must be something I don't understand !
Something to do with the sword glowing after a while and then giving you a x2 even if the multiplier is null ? I DON'T KNOW !
And it's quite irritating !

True :
Could we assume that for Japanese people Noa and Noah are exactly the same thing ?

So apparently you can download some remixes from their website by inputting a password that comes with the game. Has anyone tried this yet?
Edit: Whoops, completely missed that post.

Only four remixes, quite long though.

yep. What is it with Aida Tadayo? Is she the official mascot of Radigy? Do the creators have a crush on her or something?

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noa
Hum, just got the japanese wii version today and cant make it run on my PAL Wii. When I launch regularly via system menu, I get a black screen and that's all.
If I try to Gecko it, it is the same.
If I try to transfer it on my external hard drive, and load it via USB loader GX, it is the same.
My console plays my other japanese games (Sin & Punishment 2, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom) in any of the three ways mentionned above.
Do some of you have any advice for me ?
For information, here is my current config, just updated this morning :
- 4.1 system menu
- priiloader to region free games

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noa
You should update to 4.2e, what's the advantage of staying with 4.1e ?
No problem on my 4.2e updated Wii, neither with the original DVD nor with the game copied on an external HDD.

How do I properly update to 4.2 ? I did update to 4.1 from 3.2 just this morning via pimp my wii but I dont know how to go further... Actually, I dont like to spend time on following those underground updates. I just wanna play those stupidly region-locked games !
Since I posted my message, the games now starts via USB loader GX (I dont know what changed though), but still not from system menu.

Oui, moi je ne rechigne pas à m'inscrire "sur plein de bordels".Wouhou Hydeux lui-même !
Now, for updating a hacked Wii, SciFi is your friend : it will do everything you need !
(you may need to uninstall Pre(ii)loader, don't know actually, never used such (crappy) things... Starpatch is the answer !)
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noa
Now it's been out and ported a while, what's the reaction to this game been like (either in Japan or elsewhere)? I like the original Radirgy a lot, and this video has me quite interested... that awesome train section reminds me of Battle Bakraid. Looks like similar Radirgy action with more interesting level designs than the original.
