Anyone know where to find a strat or basic gameplay section? I got the cart and am having a fun time with it
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
Wait a minute... NCS's product description in their daily news update says "Wii Rajirugi NOAH (+ Illvelo)".
Does this mean Illvelo is also included on the disc? That would certainly be a selling point to me, and would let me cancel my Amazon order for Illvelo US. I'm not exactly a huge Milestone fan, but I enjoy shooters enough to find something redeemable in their games (though I genuinely enjoyed the original Radilgy). Getting some added value with two games would make me more comfortable with going ahead and buying.
I guess it wouldn't be totally shocking either based on Milestone's previous Wii support, since the JPN Wii release of the Karous/Radilgy/Chaos Field disc was marketed more as Karous Wii with two bonus games.

also says of the first Radirgy: "fairly average game in terms of play mechanics and aesthetics"neojma wrote:Wait a minute... NCS's product description (...)
Sometimes NCSX's editorializing is really off base.
How can anyone say Radirgy's aesthetics are average?
I'd argue the play mechanics are far from average as well, but that's a bit more subjective.
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
*Milestone includes the coin-op version of Illvelo (Illmatic Envelope) on the Rajirugi NOAH disc which is selectable from the title screen. There goes the resale value of our remaining copies of the game. If you go into the menu, there is a "DISPLAY" option which allows players to adjust the aspect of the Illvelo game screen from TATE to YOKO.
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
According to PA: Check out the original mode - Ilbero - Calories Off. Clear this game and see if these two games are related to one another.
Sounds almost like an arrange mode.

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
So what are the Katakana supposed to mean, NOAH, NOIR, NOA or something else?
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
Irrelevant here, since we're not talking any matter of opinion.Koa Zo wrote:Sometimes NCSX's editorializing is really off base.
Ah... and I've found this. Looks like it is indeed a Wii exclusive arrange mode of Illvelo. Anybody know how this arrange mode differs from the original Illvelo?
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
I wonder how UFO Interactive feels about this. They might not even bother localizing Radirgy Noah if this really hurts Illvelo's US sales. I'm still gonna buy Illvelo regardless to support localization, but this is very upsetting at first glance. Hopefully the arrange mode is quite different from normal Illvelo.
Yeah they seem pretty elitist in regards to Milestone games. Their Karous description was pretty unfair too if I remember right. Are they trying to sell games or not?Koa Zo wrote:Sometimes NCSX's editorializing is really off base.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
On the Wii DVD (I mean IN the DVD), it says NOA, as far as I know it stands for NOIR (nearly the same pronounciation) which is the French for BLACK.Plasmo wrote:So what are the Katakana supposed to mean, NOAH, NOIR, NOA or something else?
Had no time to play it though, but quite eager to see what's inside this "new" Illvelo : Illvelo Still !
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
Nice to see they're still running with the Nas referencing. I'm surprised they didn't go with Stillvelo though.
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
It's probably not noir (that's pretty well established as ノワール)Plasmo wrote:So what are the Katakana supposed to mean, NOAH, NOIR, NOA or something else?
Noah is a pretty good guess since it pops up in a lot of names for god knows what reason, although the katakana can also be read as nor (e.g. - ノア回路 for nor circuit)

Haha yeah, I laughed at that too. 'Stillvelo' would have been a much better name.Rupert H wrote:Nice to see they're still running with the Nas referencing. I'm surprised they didn't go with Stillvelo though.
Been playing a bit of this yesterday, been enjoying Illvelo 'Still Mode' tho its very easy. Radilgy Noa is much better than radilgy, too. My favouorite Milestone release so far (and I liked the original Illvelo release quite a bit)

So what is the difference between the Ilvello in this and the regular standalone Wii release?

probably "NOAH"; "NOA" is on flyers and some other material, and the OST has "NOAH" printed on itPlasmo wrote:So what are the Katakana supposed to mean, NOAH, NOIR, NOA or something else?

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
well like half of these games is aesthetic and handling of it. you get lazy with the music and visuals then you have 50% of a product that ruins the good part.clp wrote:amusing that aesthetics appears to be your only concern, says it all really .Gungriffon Geona wrote:well I mean is this anything new or are they still just not texturing anything so it looks flat and uninteresting
also looking at videos this is just more bullet eating drivel.

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
I like the fact that the system is easier : no more green pills to collect, you always get blue ones, for absnet AND multiplier. It makes the game much more fun to play as x16 and absnet are nearly always ready ! (which is a good thing 'cause the game is QUIIIITE hard IMO)
Concerning Illvelo Still, the game's easier than Illvelo, mainly because weapons are different : they're the same than Radirgy Noa, so the 3rd/red one is really powerful. Haven't noticed any other difference yet...

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
In Illvelo Still, I'm nor sure whether you can access the TLB or not : each time I get to the 5th level with "what will be enough keys", the bonus stages change and don't give me one of those blue key which are worth 5 keys...
My best (so far) is 48 keys, 5 billions and a half...
And by the way this Still version is much easier : as I said before weapons are stronger, but bonus stages are also longer, which gives you more time to complete them, there are less bullets (or at least less undestructible bullets), ennemies don't shoot laser anymore.
Apart from that (and the TLB ?), they're pretty much the same games : same ennemy waves, same bonus stages...
It looks like a Cave Arrange mode : quite easy, billions cashing in.

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
RU saying Radirgy Noa is easier than Illvelo, or this Illvelo thingy in Radirgy Noa (which I've not looked at yet).
I've found another cool feature in the game: the config doesn't seem to save. It saves the button mapping, but unless you load the config after every reboot, it's the default.

What? Illvelo is already really easy.
I 1cced it without any effort or practice- not with the TLB though x3

Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
To put it clearly : Illvelo Still is much easier than the first Illvelo.RU saying Radirgy Noa is easier than Illvelo, or this Illvelo thingy in Radirgy Noa
You get to the end even easier (no laser nor flame from the ennemies) and you collect keys easier as well (weapons are stronger and I think you have more time to finish the bonus stages). But I'm still unsure whether you can access to the TLB...
So have we all I think, but getting to the TLB makes things more complicated... (and I even gave up 'cause I didn't know how the score worked, thanks GaijinPunch to have made things clearer in the strat topic !)What? Illvelo is already really easy.
I 1cced it without any effort or practice
And since I spent time to find out, here is where you have to enter the code you found in the DVD box : http://www.mile-stone.co.jp/RANOAHsnd/radirgy_wii.php
It'll allow you to download (twice, no more) a remix version of the OST.
Haven't played Radirgy Noa much (got a few verticals to play, that's why I spent time on Illvelo Still...) : how hard is it compared to the first Radirgy ?
Re: Sequel to Radirgy - Radirgy Noah
Aye that may be as karous was also very easy however the game is all about scoring , kinda like battle bakraid in sense that 1 cc normal = piss and high scoring run = hardJockel wrote:What? Illvelo is already really easy.
