I've only listened to a random handful of what's there but it's damn impressive, once I get over 60s meets 80s I'll have to listen to the rest all the way through. Great work everyone :D

Here's an idea for the download site. How about putting links to youtube vids of the original versions next to the download links of the remixes/covers? That way even people who are not familiar with each entry can compare them to the originals. Might be interesting.

As an example, here's the original of our Battle Squadron track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRfCWIK-nzM

Another idea: Let's do a mixed-media "tour" to support the album! :P

Sorry for the delays, I had a really busy couple of weeks, and didn't have much time to work on this.
Anyway, I'm almost done. Only songs that remain are ones by The Coop. They're completely different from the rest of the album, and making them fit the overall sound would ruin them. So, don't panic if they're a bit quieter than the rest, making piano solo as loud as speedcore is simply not possible  .

Edit: Done. Sending files to RTW as soon as possible.

Just as a reminder, I still need a final track listing (remixer, title, length) for the back cover... when that listing is finalized of course.

Track listing is done. Could all remixers please verify the correctness of names, titles and games ?

Two of mine need a tweak in their titles. It's "Heading For Home v2" and "Bio Tech v3". Those version notations are important. My other two remixes are fine.

What about Nate/Vst, since Vst is an initialism for Vodka Sound Team shouldn't it be Nate/VST ?

Yeah, each word in their name would be capitalized for an abbreviation like that.

Edited OP with this info.

Album out now!

http://world-of-arcades.net/stgc09

I'd just like to say thank you to The Coop for his awesome cover, Worstplayer for stepping in to master the thing, Emphatic for doing the track listing, rtw for hosting it on World of Arcades, and of course everyone who contributed a track! Its an awesome album, and I think it achieves everything that I was hoping to see when I proposed the project. I think that we as a community have really made something interesting and invaluable to contribute to the STG scene.

I'm just sorry it took so long

How about a sticky for a few weeks so everyone gets a chance to check it out?

The album is awesome :)
I think the track order could have been better though, it felt as if it just fizzled out att the end. Don't get me wrong, the tracks at the end were great, some of them my favourites, but I wish it would have ended with a "bang" (Fullmetal Fighter maybe? ). Some tracks seem oddly short too.

The shortest track, 'Armcross Space' is one of my favourites :D I particularly enjoyed Joe Boto's DFK ST5 cover, though I think the album as a whole is tippity top :D

You can bet on that: These covers are nothing short of amazing. Lots of variation with music styles and source material too.
Gonna listen this album awhile.

Pretty cool. I thought the coops were pretty awesome and I liked Nate's progressive metal type take on the songs. All were good.
