Challenges must be accepted by the person in question.
Are you included in the first prize? I couldn't quite see you in the picture?

If I don't win, I'll steal myself a prize.
p.s. somebody using the first prize pic as their sig would be hilarious, at least for a day.

That is officially the greatest prize list in the history of ever.
Though that 2nd one seems a tad out of place with the other 2

Wait, wrong topic...where were we?
Oh yeah: Play Thunder Dragon 2, it makes you better at classic shooting.

You could quite easily be set up in time for the tournament.
You're right. The GP2X and PSP should do me wonders, so I should get on it. Sadly I'm a bloody Mac owner, so no PC, which I guess might make things a little more troublesome. Inconvenience after all, is the reason I've bought fuckin' Macs since my first one in 1990...
MameOSX is great.
Also, I'm in.

Sometimes this board makes my head want to split, lol.....
And any idea on what type/styles of games might be chosen?
Are we looking at, like, current-style danmaku titles, or more "traditional" shmups?

RULES UPDATED IN FIRST POST
here is the important points:
RANKING POINTS
- 1st place in a playing week gets 30pts, 2nd place gets 29pts, 3rd place gets 28pts, etc...
- The winner is the person with the most ranking points at the end of the 5 playing weeks
RIVALS
- Once the list of participants is finalized I will distribute a RIVAL for every participant
- In each week, if you manage to defeat your RIVAL then they will lose TWO ranking points
- RIVALS will be changed each week
- If you want you can call somone out and challenge them to be your RIVAL for an upcoming week, they must accept though
- Defeat your RIVAL otherwise be shamed
MACAW'S WRATH
- Macaw will be participating in the playing weeks as well
- Macaw's scores will be separate to the table of the participants scores
- At the end of a playing week, if Macaw has a higher score than the top person in the table of the participants, then you will all be shamed. Macaw will then constantly insult the participants
- Macaw has the advantage of knowing which games are coming
