We are holding the secret power of shmups.
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
That's not the additional "mode" right? That would be hells lame.
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
So basically the same as the Rev.X LE? zzz indeed. I hope the cover of DUO's regular edition is better than Rev.X's though.
I strongly doubt that would count as a "mode".Enhasa wrote:That's not the additional "mode" right? That would be hells lame.
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Looks like 28th of April will be release date.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
I bump up the thread because Play Asia has finally listed the game. We have both options regular and limited edition though only the regular can be preorder.
I really enjoyed the first one but I haven't played Duo. Can't wait to take a taste of it.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Because not everyone lives in Japan and the only way to import games are PA, NCSX and others. I would like also to have preordered Espgaluda II from Cave site, but since they don't ship outside of Japan it is wothless. Also note that while there are other sites like videogameimports which can get you the editions with phone cards the menoy they ask for it is really "stupid" just to say something.tsuruki wrote:

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Think there maybe a possible North American release?
Still really on the fence on picking up the sequel up. I didn't even get a chance to play the first one much but I do like the game though.

It's better than the cover art for the regular edition of Rev.X, but not as good as the cover art for the LE of Rev.Xtsuruki wrote:Personally, the cover artwork is better than the first installment's.
Needs more Cuilan.
Don't expect one from Ubisoft. The only publisher I could see taking a risk on it would be Aksys. But in any case, I would not expect a US version of DUO to be announced until about a year after the Japanese one has been out.Shelcoof wrote:Think there maybe a possible North American release?
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Probably going to hold out for a North American release. Don't want to deal with the hassle of finding players to play against if I do import. At least if it does get an NA release I can at least persuade others to pick it up to play against. Even with the first one out I've had little success getting friends to pick up a 10$ game.

not going to wait for aksys to pick this up, but will buy it again in the event that they do. especially because i know they're not going to slap wartech 2 or mobile light force 3 on it.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
The sooner you pick it up, the easier it will be to find mulitplayer games. If you wait for a US release (which may or may not happen), the online play may not be quite as active. I also foresee the majority of Rev.X's online community migrating over to DUO once it comes out. Although, finding people to play against isn't too difficult if you know where to look : http://www.youtube.com/group/wartechShelcoof wrote:Probably going to hold out for a North American release. Re: Senko no Ronde 2
So does the LE come with the drama CD and thats it? I just got the first game and really enjoying, but not sure if I can justify spending that much extra for something I'd barely understand.
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
That's what it seems like so far. And if history is anything to go by, the LE will have better cover art than the regular. But aside from that, looks like the regular edition would be the better choice for most people. That's what I'll be getting.EPS21 wrote:So does the LE come with the drama CD and thats it?
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Can I use my North American Xbox Live account with this game? I'm sure I should check the JXbox360 Thread but seeing how this is regarding Senko 2 I'm gonna ask here
Having a hard time deciding to import or not now.

region-free 4 this game yea or no?????
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Chances of it being region free are quit slim. However though if it is Region Free I'd make an instant purchase.woof wrote:region-free 4 this game yea or no?????

Looks like GRev plans on revealing new game modes and some surprise about the game this coming week. Me hoping for mini Senkoro shmup game as a bonus ...but probably won't happen.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Now that the game's release date is coming up I'm actually pretty excited this maybe an instant purchase for me. Only bad thing is that Ketsui comes out that month as well too.
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
That would be very cool. Hopefully this time around they allow a lobby mode in the online versus. Far too many low key fighters have a lackluster online mode (and some high end like SF4). Having at least a 4(6) person lobby with rotation rules should be standard (ex. Blazblue & SoulCalibur IV). Some of us like to watch matches real time versus friends/random people, and not have to: hunt down some arcade that carries the cab/pile into someone's cramped apartment. Already reserved the game and can't wait to get my hands on it.hirounder wrote:Looks like GRev plans on revealing new game modes and some surprise about the game this coming week. Very art-deco....there's also new trailer on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqbyaaIWKl4
Re: Senko no Ronde 2
LE cover looks nice, though doesn't really fit the style of the game. I also find the lack of Cuilan disturbing, and both covers are guilty of that, sigh...At least it's a bit easier to resist buying the LE now that I know Cuilan isn't on the cover.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
I finally listened to the OST and it is fucking incredible! Expected more of the same style as 1, but as always, Yack manages to evolve his sound in unexpected ways. My fav of his is Border Down now though.
I'm really torn on this game, but I'm not sure I can justify buying a JP 360 just for this. Of course, this is coming from a person who would do this sort of thing, someone who still wants to buy a Xbox and Steel Battallion sometime. I'll probably hold out for a year in hopes of Aksys (after then it would be a lost cause). I guess I should see what the other NA Senko players are doing first.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
That's probably about what I'm doing.
The OST didn't much do it for me the first time aside from a few songs like Breastdeep Candy, but it's improved as I've listened to it more. Still like the first one better I guess, but that's probably because I actually played the game a lot.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
I swear everyone likes Breastdeep Candy because of the name. Nothing wrong with that!
I loved SNR1 OST before even playing the game. Lots of weeaboos did and never even played the game. The one thing about SNR2 OST (not game music) is that many songs loop too long for my liking. I'm a fan of the Sakuraba album no looping (done out of disc space no doubt), which everyone hates (1-2 loops is default), but I hate all repetition in general and if you really want to hear something loop, you can always do it in your player or just hit the back button. OTOH if you want to skip, you're forced to hit forward manually, and the first time you listen, you can't skip in the off chance that there's some new section at the end. Dumb.
In terms of Yack I go Border Down (helps that it fits the actual game perfectly) > SNR1 > SNR2 > Metal Black > Elevator Action Returns > Gun Frontier > Kaiser Knuckle > Fighters' Impact > Syvalion > Growl > Pulirula > Puchi Carat, although I'm not sure about the latter half because they're all good anyway and I'm hazy.
For SNR2 I really like disc 2 especially, same with SNR1 where vol2 was the shit. Is there a vol2 for SNR2 like SNR1 and BD? Or is 360 port all arcade music? I like the experimentation and dark electronica sound and seriously, some tracks like Empowered Torch and Trick and Treat C (both awesome) sound Takada-ish. Initial Point sounds kinda like Meguro would if I liked him, I think. Single favorite track has to be Plague Ghost though. I think it sounds kinda like getting eaten by an evil copy machine.

Re: Senko no Ronde 2
Bad news guys, DUO has been delayed for another month due to netcode issues. It's now dated for the 20th of May, and to make up for it they're going to include a second drama CD in the Limited Edition version.
I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.
