Highly unlikely. It's only been discussed here very briefly, and they can easily send their boards to AMI for a ROM swap (presumably for a fee).

For Italian Black Label owners we now have an individual which
can resurrect them in Italy :D. Contact me via the email address
in the first post and I'll forward the email to him.

This is why you should never touch the brown switch (SW1) on your BL!

Wow is that serial number 1?? If it is that is so cool.

I'm seriously in awe of the hacker types that figure out how to do these kind of things (rtw, razoola). Must take a lifetime of knowledge about electronics to figure this stuff out.

It's not number 1 :D I obfuscate the serial number when posting the fixed image for a PCB that is not my own.

This wasn't that hard to figure out, since we knew the PCB died when the battery died it must be keeping some magic values in NVRAM. I based this assumption on the way Feveron Sos is protected. The hard part was getting the image decrypted but that was not done by me.

Hello,

is this service still active?

I have a problem with my DDP3 Black label board. The game does not work, at screen there is a kind of colors mess scrolling but not the game anymore.

The battery has been changed two years ago by myself but its voltage is about 2,8V now. Maybe it is the cause...

Have you ever seen this problem and what would be the solution?

If the game is dead, could you resurrect it please?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards, Benoit (France).

You could try inserting a patched BL EPROM and see if that boots.

^ that's a good idea.
In fact I would just do that and put the original EPROM in the box unless you play it regularly or it will happen again.

IIRC suicide gives a ROM error message so this might be something more serious however.
