Art/Guide books - the list.
I take it you're already aware of Deathsmiles Artworks, sven?
For those who aren't, its quite nice - a thick volume of artwork from DS. It also has a nice Windia-centric manga at the end, about 20+ pages. The most humorous thing is the upskirt shot of Rosa's panties that takes up the entire back cover. :p

How about providing some pics of the front and back cover of that Deathsmiles Artworks book now that you mention it? ^_~

Now I have The Raiden III The Flash Desire DVD, I realise that the 'Raiden III Official Data Collection' artbook that comes with it is a properly bound book to substantial to fit in the DVD case itself, so perhaps that should be added to the list.
Also, does anybody have any links to a translation of any of that art book? I'm really after the interview and gameplay details, though I guess it's unlikely as it's fairly sizable.

Re: Art/Guide books - the list.
Awesome list and stuff uploaded so far - I wish somebody scanned those Darius guides, but beggars can't be choosers.
Re: Art/Guide books - the list.
What is meant to be 2nd book? 1st one is guwange/esprade artbook, but 2nd? Considering that special doujin book or smth listed separately in list.Guwange, 2 book set
Also, can anyone share a light on Taito games presentation in all of those things... Like, for example, is there pieces of Metal Black related arts in existence?
Re: Art/Guide books - the list.
the 2 guwange books are scoring guides, i dont think the guwange/esprade book was even available when this list was made?
..oh and if someone wants to take over this thread and continue compiling a definitive list (im sure theres tons of stuff by now) please feel free!
I still lurk the forum but lo-res arcades are dead and thats where my heart's at.

Re: Art/Guide books - the list.
I might do it next time I'm on a computer if I remember. I've got some unlisted stuff like the Gamest mooks for Darius Gaiden and Gokujou Parodius.sven666 wrote:the 2 guwange books are scoring guides, i dont think the guwange/esprade book was even available when this list was made?

Anyone mind uploading the whole scanned book?
No one ITT mentioned Cave Shooting Artworks. There's a thread dedicated to that release here:

At this rate, I won’t be interested into shmups anymore. I am no longer going to be active in this forum from now on. I am more interested into Kemono Friends, rhythm games, D4DJ, Puzzle Games, Hololive, and Pretty Cure.
Farewell.
Farewell.
Re: Art/Guide books - the list.
btw were there anything with XII Stag or G-Stream 2020?
Re: Art/Guide books - the list.
LOL, certainly is a shot in the dark. Just so happens Namco Museum Vol.4 guides were some of the very first JPN guidebooks I tried to track down in the early 2000's when I first started shopping online.maximo310 wrote:This may be a shot in the dark, but what are the differences of the Namco Museum Vol 4 Offical guide compared to the Namco Museum Vol 4 Perfect Guide?
I have them both, but haven't looked at them in years now... I'll try to dig 'em up in the next few days and give you a rundown.
The Trizeal book from the NIH DVD set has a few pages on those games, but I think maybe just interviews or text, not strategy iirc.qmish wrote:btw were there anything with XII Stag or G-Stream 2020?

Thanks! Someone told me awhile back that one of these guides contains complete stage & enemy rundown w/ strats, but wasn't able to get back to me with further details. Let me know once you've found them!
Re: Art/Guide books - the list.
Hello everyone. I just registered to Shumps Forum, only to reply here.
I do realize that this is a 6 year old thread, and I hope you will find this is a good reason to do it.
Since this thread did mention some pages earlier the Super Aleste manga, I thought you might be interested to know that I have scanned and translated this whole manga, to both English and Spanish.
I have uploaded all of it to Mangadex (link here: https://mangadex.org/title/52065). However, as you may know Mangadex reduces the page quality if you are not logged in. But as of now there are many other pages that have uploaded it as well, in case you prefer some other.
I wanted to mention it in this thread, since it was one of the first places where I learned about this manga.
Have fun!
