Yes, Scorpius was an X68000 game, I sold my copy not too long ago. It's not particularly rare though. Indeed most X68000 games aren't rare, at least not here in Japan.

There is a kind of fix for this, maybe. Search a shopping site for mu-metal. You could apply adhesive foil sheets of it on the inside of your monitor casings, if you're comfortable with HV, or just slap it on the outside of the monitors where they abut each other. Mu-metal shields AC magnetism.

I can't guess whether this will work better than the sheet-metal shields all around the bucket section of many monitors (usually polka-dot-perforated for air cooling by convection), but imperforate mu-metal might do something beneficial between interfering CRTs.

Knight Arms - The Hyblid Framer. Sort of an, uh, hyblid rail shooter/sidescroller. By Katsunori Yoshimura, one of the game planners on Omega Boost ... also did the OG Thunder Force and Wibarm!
IGMO - Poorly emulated, never beaten.

BUMPO!

There are some excellent suggestions in this thread, however, there is one shmup I am desperately trying to locate.

Illumination Laser

I've read that the disks have not been dumped, but I find it difficult to believe.

The game looks awesome.

Wow- it does look awesome. They're asking about it over on Tokugawa Corporate Forums too.
A new quest is afoot :D

fwiw if you do come across rarities which are absent from the current dat files and the like you might want to consider submitting them to MESS for possible inclusion in the MESS softlists. (They're like MAME sets, but for computers / consoles)

The X68k list is currently a work in progress, so there is a lot of stuff missing from it right now, but afaik it's based off existing dats, so it's important that if you find something not in those dats that you make sure it doesn't get lost :-)

from our many searches years ago, many .dat and extensive sets (lot of crap & multiple names with same game..), lack many rare gems.. Takeru limited time availability is partly the fault :?

Hello everyone ! Just arrived on the forum, I'm a shmup lover and also retrogaming fan, with my french youtube channel "Lord Paddle" since 2017.

I've been working for 1 year on the search for doujin shoot'em ups of the X68000 that I record in full but there are some titles that I can not find such as "Exceed", the first "Blue Wings" or "Death Ephemera", I can't get "Battle Unit II" to work either (I'm on an emulator, with XM6 Type G). Currently, I have a problem with the "Red Arms" doujin from 1990, after stage 2, the game systematically crashes ... is there a good dump of the game ? I'm also the owner of 3 superb complete boxed shoots on the X68K : "Scorpius" (masterpiece of the genre, well done Shinseisha!), "Naious" and "A-Jax" from Konami. Looking forward to chat with you ! If there are other fans who are looking for X68000 doujins and who can help me in my quest (it's for a future big project! :)), thank you in advance ! And see you soon on the forum !

I don't know about dumps, but Blue Wings is here in both 5 inch and 3.5 inch floppy.
