Just some Touhou stuff, like my Phantasm clear (part 1, part 2), and me just doing random Lunatic and Last Word spell cards, among other pointless uploads. Nothing special or significant.

That was bombtasic! :D Seriously though, thanks for posting that, as I realize I'm way to proud to bomb in the early levels, which usually leads to stupid deaths and me resetting the game more often then reaching the 5th stage (which I've only done a few times). I really want to clear this before the "port evar" comes out.

Great capture by the way, what card did you use for this? Too bad youtube screwed with the aspect ratio, the download is much better, but still hard to read score.

ultimate capture device

playing on a supergun using a rgb to s-video encoder (slightly modded to reduce colours saturation)

youtube didn't screw the aspect ratio it was windows movie maker. I tried uploading the AVI from the good quality and the sound went off sync so instead I uploaded a de-tated wmv version. And yes the point was to not play the game 2000 times dieing from stupid deaths while trying to no bomb. I can practice no bombing but you won't get better at the later stages if you never make it to them. I originally recorded it in just a 90 meg wmv because I figure a 1 loop run doesn't require super video quality

im guessing but what about downloading a vid to HD and using a player that has tate (or even tate the normal u tube vid by going into your gfx card settings and tating the whole screen)

my tv is tated for my supergun and I can also send a video signal to it from my computer so that's what I usually do to watch tated vids.

*edit* not youtube but a new ketsui vid

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FWS21F5W

ketsui 120 mil 1cc better quality than the last vid (still 30 fps sorry)

By request, I reuploaded some of Twiddle's old videos to my own account-- the famous Gun Frontier checkpoint abuse video, and some damn impressive RFJ playing.

good job! Definitely going to watch this run. Anyway this isn't youtube but I managed to get a ketui 120 mil clear on a 60 fps capture. A couple of parts go a bit off sync but it quickly resyncs so it's perfectly fine to watch. Sorry that it's a bit big but you get full 60 frames per second

Rezon part-3 replay was cool to watch, looks slightly more involved than stages 4 & 5 on R-Type2.

I may as well give up on this game because the board we have at london casino plays nothing like this in terms of enemy bullet speed and damage. Still impressive vid.

Some of those enemy attack waves look pretty intense, your ship's hitbox must be pixcel tiny. Nice one

Yes, it's rather small but it also depends which ship type and game mode player is using. With Bullet Hell ship and Danmaku mode both ship and bullets will have smaller hitboxes (among other changes).

Exelica stage 1 - I died, sadly Exelica doesn't have replays so I decided to just up it rather than starting up a new recording. There are better Exelica vids out there, but I haven't seen any clear HD ones before.

RetroGamerDaz posted a preview of his next magazine Retro Gamer. Has Gradius on the cover and a article about the arcade and speccy versions

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BheQ_wzzh0

If you dont know about Retro Gamer magazine, its a good UK based magazine that covers all the great games, I believe it is shipped abroad aswell. Been a UK mag it does cover the old 8/16 bit home computers including the mostly unknown outside the EU sinclair spectrum aswell as the old consoles. Also been a uk mag theres not too many pages given over to advertising.

Theres also a couple of dvds for sale which has many of their back issues on.
