A Perfect Cherry Blossom Lunatic No-Bombs 1cc. 5 out of 7 deaths were really dumb and should've been easily avoidable but alas, whenever I get a good run on my hands I tend to mess things up.

I think you're trying a bit too hard to cut your ties with the past. You shouldn't dismiss something as being absolutely worthless just because you've had bad experiences with it/whatever is going on with you right now. Just do what you find fun and don't overthink it.

There have been lots of times when I didn't have fun playing shmups anymore, so I took a break. I would never go so far to say that my time spent with them was garbage, and I still enjoy playing them. And I've seen that you do, too (Gunbird 2 is amazing and I know you agree). I'm not sure you entirely believe what you're saying, or else you wouldn't be trying to convince yourself by making that video.

The problem lies more so in the fact it's incredibly difficult for me to hold my concentration in these games. I would love to play Mars Matrix, Psyvariar or GB2, again. It's far easier, and less stressful, to pick up Etrian Odyssey and grind a dungeon on the train or roam around in STALKER.

Cave, Treasure, Triangle Services (Ok, I've played very little of XII stag and I don't remember liking it), Xevious: All garbage.

WOW, this run was incredible! I think I only saw you drop the multiplier by 1 throughout the entire game (except for the death right before the final boss) o.O !!!! Huge congrats man! Also, the audio desync wasn't too bad at all.
