マットマウス 2017/9/23 ティンクルスタースプライツ対戦会 (Twinkle Star Sprites casual matches at Mat mouse Arcade Game Center and Store in Japan. This is the video "A").

The 'Yan Yan Yung' player at the beginning is 'F.A', one of the best japanese players. Maybe the best world player, along with 'Jun'ichi'. At the end of the video, there is a 300 seconds round with 'Jun'ichi' as 1P and 'VIGA' as 2P.

Edit: F.A playing with Yan Yan begins at 1:38:30
The 300 seconds round begins at 11:42:38 Take in account that 300 seconds in the game are 7 minutes in real time.

ティンクルスタースプライツ対戦会 マットマウス鹿島田・新川崎店 (Twinkle Star Sprites casual matches at Mat mouse Arcade Game Center and Store in Japan. This is the video "B").

In the beginning you can watch '503' playing with Sprites character.

Edit: 503 starts to play at 1:49:20
There is also a 13 matches winning streak by F.A using Yan Yan starting at 4:21:53
Edit2: 1P Jun'ichi (Memory) vs 2P F.A (Schmitt) at 6:51:38, this match lasts until 7:08:46, so it's a casual match of 17 minutes!

These 2 videos were live streamed 2 days ago.

List of players (some of the best japanese players are there):
ラク描き (rakugaki) who was the host of the event
じゅんいち (Jun'ichi)
F.A
503
Hな廃人さん (aka. VIGA)
Teem
ユーレイ (aka. YureiGhost)
)(aka. r_parenthesis)
てんつゆ (aka. T_tentsuyu)
レン・キサラギ (Ren・Kisaragi)
o2bito

Unfortunately there is no name of the players in both videos, so you can only guess who is playing from the list given above.

I'd also like to add the latest Twinkle Star Sprites online tourney played at FightCade.com.

Perikles already mentioned this channel in the highest-scoring replays thread (check it out if you haven't already!), but it's actually the lower-scoring of the two Detana!! TwinBee runs there that's the most impressive: Part 1, Part 2

Not only does it make daring recoveries from deaths at the end of the first loop and the beginning of the second loop, but it goes on to 2-ALL the game without ever getting a shield, no purple bell shippo barrier, no red bell barrier, nothing. It has to be seen to be believed, I didn't think either of these feats were even possible until seeing these videos.

Indeed, this has to be the single most impressive achievement one can obtain when it comes to classic shooters (let's exclude 10m+ runs in games like Gradius III or Tatsujin Ou here) - clearing what is without a doubt the hardest classic 2-ALL without the one tiny advantage that makes it possible in the first place. If it wasn't for the deaths, the other videos and the fact that this seems to be recorded from a PCB (?), I would've assumed a TAS. Some of those dodges are completely unreal (like 08:41 and onwards or 15:55 onwards in the second video). It's mortifying to say the least.

GAMEBOXQ3 ティンクルスタースプライツ大会

The most recent Twinkle Star Sprites tournament played at GAME BOX Q3 Game Center in Nagoya, Japan.

It was uploaded the entire set of matches, including the casual ones, but the link address you to the time when the tournament begins.

This is the list of players from the organizer's twitter account. Not all the matches were streamed, so some matches are not shown, especially from the 1st round of Winner and Losers brackets.

If you want only watch the final matches, you can do it at nicovideo here and here.

The original live broadcasting was streamed at GAME BOX Q3 twitch account here.

You may have seen in some other threads that I recently scored over 1 million points in Parodius Da! but fell just short of the forum record for Vic Viper. Well anyway, I got that now: https://youtube.com/watch?v=EsE02tTGTJw

There's a dearth of good videos of this game played with Vic Viper. Most of the best runs on YouTube and Nicovideo are with TwinBee (probably because that character's the best-suited for a 2-ALL), and there's even a second-loop video for Octopus and Pentarou (the Pentarou one is from the Pentarou world-record run), but I haven't been able to find anything of that caliber for Vic Viper. In fact, I can't even find any Vic Viper videos scoring higher than my own video, and my score is far from top-tier. So if you know of anything better, please let me know!

Hello, everyone! It's been quite a while, since I last posted here in this thread! :)

I've come here to post the video of my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJBL! Here it is:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

DoDonPachi DaiOuJou Black Label - 2-ALL A-Exy 1,618,647,750 【怒首領蜂 大往生 ブラックレーベル】 - Played my myself, of course (Outside of Shmups Forum, I am known as VioletHatPurple everywhere else, in-case anyone here didn't know that. Also, while I'm on that note, if I may be allowed to say so myself, I would honestly prefer to be called VioletHatPurple here)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm very, very happy to have gotten this 2-ALL down at last! It took quite a while (It took about 9-10 months for me to do, give-or-take), but it's finally done! It's not only my 1st ever 2-ALL of DOJBL, but it's also the 1st time I ever 2-ALL'd any game ever! :D

Nothing too crazy, but I've got a capture of my Mars Matrix stage 3 route and an R-Type 1-ALL to share. FWIW, I usually get much better chain with this route, but I had to battle pretty hard against lag to get this capture (Fuck you LCD screens). Why do VGA capture cards gotta be so damn expensive? Will definitely annotate the MM video eventually, and maybe also the R-Type one, but too lazy to do it now.

VASTYNEX 1 credit clear

Not great gameplay quality throughout, but I have refigured out screen capture, so the picture quality is better. I might actually re-grab my R-Type 1CC replay some time soon, because a few parts of that were real ugly the way I had encoded it.

This game is definitely super fun, I might actually try to go for a 1LC at some point. Shouldn't be too hard.

Some dirty hacks I did that got added into Snes9x for RetroArch:

Gradius 3, speed-up ON & OFF
https://youtu.be/GkjRSwxJNBs

Gradius 3 Flickering reduction
https://youtu.be/tzKCepaV40U

That works for many games, Biometal becomes a bit too hardcore though.

Less of a video demonstration (which is obviously TAS as all hell), more of a game demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x5Va9hLdLc

MD Battle Squadron at its highest difficulty settings. A console port of a home computer game it may be, but I sincerely doubt it is possible to beat it on one credit with those parameters - on account of its TAS nature, the video doesn't demonstrate just how awkward the hit detection, visibility and general annoyances are in this game, but you can see the rather impressive amount and speed of the bullets, at least.

Illvelo - ALL + TLB - 6.763.950.040 pts - Key 50

Here's an Illvelo Arcade Mode All clear with the TLB, played on emulated Milestone Shooting Collection 2. Still room for improvement as I missed some green stardust in early stage 3 and could have milked the TLB a bit more, not to mention I have some higher scores on my console but in any case, I am glad to have finally unlocked the TLB in a recorded run.

I just got capturing working for Xbox 360 (it's pretty jank. Cheapo VGA>S-Video transcoder into a cheapo S-Video USB capture stick. Should also work with Dreamcast, and won't require me to play on a super laggy TV to do), I decided to test it out with Valkyrius from XBLIG (normal difficulty 1cc) seeing as there's no 1cc footage on YT that I could find. Hopefully somebody will enjoy.
