If I didn't lose track, GUS is the second person ever to beat this mode and holds the highest score. The other player is SSERESS and he scored 806 million points.

Many thanks, STG! There were two spots where I messed up my routes: Stage 3 mid boss (I entered the top right spot too late for the dodge maneuver, I also got bad RNG where he decided to go left instead of right when I was trapped by the previous pattern due to me positioning myself a bit too far on the left side before the boss fight) and the very end of Stage 5 (huge blunder here... I blame my nerves). Thankfully the miracle dodging gods were on my side lol. Other than that I feel like it was a pretty ok run. Really happy to have a new PB! I'll keep pushing the score.

Btw, huge congrats on your latest Progear score! Absolutely amazing stuff!

I've started a video series on the first arcade Gradius, and Perikles was kind enough to help with the first round.

Awesome! Note that this is a different replay from the PS2 replay Archer previously had available on his website (which was also featured in the STG Weekly episode on Ibara). This one's captured from PCB and scores about 1.5 million points higher. Archer's world record is about 3 million points higher than this, but this is the best for which we have a replay available.

Greetings again, everyone! Just wanted to post the video of my 1st ALL! Clear of Eden's Edge Doom Mode with Formation that I got a few days ago! Since I couldn't find any full playthroughs, here are some videos of Cosmic Predator on a couple of difficulties (one of the normal difficulty and the other on the hardest difficulty as a challenge run, purposefully choosing a bad set of upgrades).

It's a slower-paced casual shmup, but it's not too bad and actually pretty cute.
