Battle Bakraid. I've gotten to the last form of the last boss but... It's pretty hard. And the score is lower than it should be, 3.5mil... :?

Just got Guwange and been playing for about an hour or so and can get to 3rd level with 1 credit, seems much easier then dodonpachi and mushi. But really like the gameplay and graphics.

I just spent an hour or so playing the Playstation version of Gradius Gaiden. I plan on segueing into some Ibara in a bit. A nice vertical shooter can be a great counterpoint to Gradius-induced tunnel vision.

A very light amount of Ketsui and Espgaluda II. I have exams coming up :(
After my exams I'll spend some serious time with them :)

Castle Shikigami 2.

I like all the bosses except that guy with the orbiting things that shoot needles. I always choose the wrong gap and get scissored. :?

(I play with Koh because I'm a panzy)

Salamander Portable PSP. Specifically Salamander 2, Xexex, and Gradius 2 (alternating). I only had a chance to play Raiden 3 for an hour the other night. Kid, music and day job tend to severely crimp the shmup-time as of late.

Just picked up Darius Gaiden on MAME. And it's kicking my butt, I'm usually done for by stage 4... using the ole HRAP2, and I'm tempted to just plugin my PS2 pad to see how I do. Argh! Fun stuff though. Quality horizontal action.

I tried playing Ikaruga but was overwhelmed by it.

My Mushihime-sama game has come to a platuea at the moment, I haven't been able to score better than what I scored (maniac) on the PS2 d-pad with the HRAP2 yet... maybe someday.

And Gradius V, which is also on haitus, I just need to practice the shutter-door stage, stage 7 I think a bit, and then I'll be able to kick its ass soon I think. Same goes with Einhander, I can get to the end now, just need to beat it (with 9 credits =) )

That's basically my 4 month shmup history, since I've dived into this erm, hobby.

I just feel kind of drunk playing with HRAP2... it's really been hard for me to adjust for some reason. Hmph.

Ya know? I dunno. I was preoccupied with the fact that they only had ONE shmup. Sheesh.
The default settings are all jacked too. I'm actually talking with a buddy of mine right now, he's the main technician there and he said he'll reset them. I asked what are the odds of getting some more (or at least newer) shooters and he said he talked with the managers about it already and it sounds like it could happen.

They still have Outrun 2 btw.

Been getting into Strikers 1999 a lot, lately. I'm usually a bit crap at Psikyo shmups (probably owing to the fact that I didn't like them at all until a couple of years ago), but I'm making lots of headway with this one. :D
