It says basically after a few weeks of play, some secret stuff is supposed to be unlocked. Sounds interesting, if true!
Well, if it's on 2ch it must be true!

People are apparently clearing this game left and right, many after only a few credits with the game. They say the difficulty is easier than Mushi futari Original mode, and is about the same as Pink Sweets with the infinite lives bug. :shock:

I hope the unlocked mode is some MMP Ultra mode or something.

The loke test version was so nice, too...most couldn't even get past the third boss. Cave's blowing it again...

Oh, well. MMP 1.5 should be great, right?

My primary worry echoed by TWE's post a few up:
TWE wrote:-The difficulty has been reduced from the location test version. Some say it is possible to beat the game without dying while still scoring high. In other words, you don't really need to control rank.
Don't tell me Yagawa is going soft now that he's at Cave... -_-;;

Granted, if this is a Yagawa game, it might have Extended/Harder modes available like Ibara and Pink Sweets. (Don't fancy the idea of a MMPork! v1.5 though, as that'll reek of complacency on Cave's part.)

@Icarus: apparently you can have up to 4 spare lives in stock before the rank becomes harsh.

I haven't heard anything about harder or extended modes. Perhaps Gion can let us know when his kit arrives. From what I've read, this game is a big departure from Yagawa's previous works for Cave, and doesn't feel much like a Raizing game at all.

The reaction has been very positive over at 2Ch, most people are saying it's much better than they thought it would be, and that it's a really fun game that's easy to pick up and play through like Espgaluda.

Four lives is still quite a lot given that Extends are set at every 10mil and scoring seems to be pretty high if done properly. (Possible max in the hundred mils? Near 500mil-ish maybe? Too early to tell but speculating based on what I've seen of the system.)

EDIT: If that's the case, is rank based on life count a-la Bakraid? Hmm... I wonder...

Yeah. Since Ibara was a homage to Garegga, and Pink Sweets was a homage to Recca, MMPork! seems to be an entirely new entity, which is nice. The only Raizing I can remember where boosting a meter was key to scoring was Great Mahou and Brave Blade, while the game itself seems to draw a bit from Espgaluda. Nice to see both Cave and Yagawa flex some creative muscle.

Sounds good. MMPork! does look the business, and I'd love to get my hands on a kit some day, if it wasn't for the fact that I want Pink Sweets first. -_-;;

Okay, as a person here that really doesn't give two shits about Yagawa's games and has now played about 6 or 7 credits on this:

It's not a push over, but it's not hard either. My 2nd credit I made it to the end of stage 4. Same w/ credit 3. By that time I had somehow figured out the scoring and starting dying more due to more daring play, so end of stage 4 is my record. Hard for me to get used to holding down A and not slowing down as well.

It's a fun game though, and very accessible, so I'm glad to see it. Graphics are top notch, and the arcade I go to has the volume low enough that I'm not annoyed by the goofy music.

As for the extends: I only got one, as I always lost my multiplier.

IT's the name of the city (Butatzukacho) although I couldn't get it to work. There's too many non-standard ways to do that tzu & cho. SOmeone w/ more nerves than me can give it a shot.

Nice. Just finished watching it.
Its a stage 1 vid, very good scoring technique, player picks up nearly 15mil from the first stage alone, with good demonstration of maxing out Medals quickly, as well as milking particular targets for bombjuice and point items. As expected, the system is based on quick-switching between Shot (to bump up the laser attack) and Laser (done in short bursts against small targets, and more prolonged blasts on larger targets).

Music is pretty awesome by the way. Boss music reminds me of Pink Sweets, the track that plays during the first form of the last boss.

That was a great replay. Damn, hasn't this only been out for like a day? I bet SWY has already counter-stopped it or something.

Stage 3 isn't all that exciting either.

If someone would be so kind as to put this up on megaupload or something, so we don't have to install a spyware activex control, that would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone konw when the random big-point thingy is generated? I see a few of them come up, and I miss them all the time...effectively dropping my multiplier. I assume that if you kill something w/ the lard attack and let go too early, you don't suck them in... which can also screw you.

Cave will be releasing a code to unlock two more difficulty modes within a month or two. Currently, the only way of increasing the difficulty level is to pass the game without dying once. Once this is done, the next round becomes significantly more difficult.

The only bad thing is, the difficulty resets after this. Again, the code will be published by Cave within a month or two. If I can get the code earlier, I'll certainly post it here for you guys/gals.

Yes it's a puzzle game called Takoron. Last I heard a Wii port was in the works for this year.

No, it's not a Naomi game, it's a PCB. Yes it's a puzzle game called Takoron. Last I heard a Wii port was in the works for this year.
Weird, why does it have a Naomi logo on it, then?
