Best perfectly round orange bullet in a shmup

Post by system11 »

Which shmup has your favourite round orange bullet? This means rings, lines and ellipses are right out. It must be orange too, blue, red, pink and so on are distinct enough to warrant their own topics.

For me it has to be the 32nd large orange bullet shot by the Gunbird tower boss in the early random stages. The 31st is a bit dull, there's just something so special about the 32nd!!! ^_^

Oh, definitely the bullets in Raiden. They're two different shades of orange, but it's all orange. And they're definitely circular. And so easily to see. There's something about those bullets that just scream "FIERY DEATH!!!" They just don't seem to have that brain-dead "Ooo, pretty colors, must go to the pretty colors *kaboom*" effect I see sometimes in other games.

The bullets of R-Type 3 are by far the best orange bullets. Very intricately shaded, mesmerizing rotation and deadly payload.

And yes this thread is the best new shmupsforum thread yet!

Bloodflowers is now my favorite mod, even more than kosh/dylan.

Shit, I should make a thread about that.

Vasara for me....then again those may be recycled bullets.

Hi, this site is all about bullet patterns, REAL BULLET PATTERNS. This site is awesome. My name is Frank and I can't stop thinking about bullet patterns. These bullets are cool; and by cool, I mean totally sweet.

Facts:
1. Bullet patterns are digital.
2. Bullet patterns spray out ALL the time.
3. The purpose of the bullet pattern is to flip out and kill people.

Weapons and gear:
Radiant Silversword
Twinkle Star Sprites
Ikaruga Ship

Testimonial:
Bullet patterns can kill anyone they want! Bullet patterns smash ships ALL the time and don't even think twice about it. These bullets are so crazy and awesome that they spray out ALL the time. I heard that there was this bullet patterns in a shmup. And when some dude started playing the game the bullet pattern killed all his lives. My friend Mark said that he saw a bullet pattern totally smash some kid just because the kid downloaded a demo of Perfect Cherry Blossom.

And that's what I call REAL Ultimate Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't believe that bullet patterns have REAL Ultimate Power you better get a life right now or they will smash the hitbox of your ship!!! It's an easy choice, if you ask me.

Bullet patterns are sooooooooooo sweet that I want to crap my pants. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. These bullets are totally awesome and that's a fact. Bullet patterns are fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start yoga next year. I love bullet patterns with all of my body (including my pee pee).

....

Oh no, that wasn't even funny! It's the bloody truth!

I don't get it mosquito- it was an obvious parody, not a theft. No one would get it without having read the site.

Bwaahahaha!

Now, see, if it weren't for TerryPachi, I never would have gotten to laugh at that hilarious post.

Someone really needs to make a page for the shmups site about the REAL ULTIMATE POWER of bullet patterns.

Q: Why is everyone so obsessed about bullet patterns?

A: Bullet Patterns are the ultimate paradox. On the one hand they don't give a crap if they blow you up, but on the other hand, bullet patterns are very carefully and precisely designed to spray out and blow you up.

Q: What do bullets do when they're not smashing ships or spraying out?

A: Most of their free time is spent flying, but sometime they spin. (Ask malc if you don't believe me.)

I forgot the lower part...

Q: I heard that bullet patterns are always cruel or mean. What's their problem?
A: Whoever told you that is a total liar. Just like other game factors, bullet patterns can be mean OR totally awesome.

This is a picture of my best friend Mark showing off.
He's a lot older than me and has almost cleared the first level of Gradius V, which is bragable.

I liked the orange bullets in Blast Wind... they were very pretty. Though they kinda had a reddish hue.

I would have to say the giant, round orange bullets from the final boss in Gunbird 2. You may recall that the boss is a cartoony dog. He shoots out two of these giant, round orange things and each splits up showering in all directions. Nicely done.
