Question about region free xbox 360 games

Can I make a jpn xbl account and buy Muchi Muchi Pork on the marketplace on my US 360 and play it region free that way? Or do i absolutely have to have a physical copy?

you don't need a physical copy, the digital version on the japanese marketplace is region free.

Some games are region free and can be downloaded on Xbox live just make a Japan account.

The following games can be downloaded with just making an account for the specified marketplace as they are region free to play and download. I can confirm they work as I have done this method to download all these games onto my xbox360 US.:

The next list requires you to use a VPN to trick the download to happen and the games are region free. I cannot confirm this myself as I have not yet done this method to download these games:
