Oh don't worry about. I didn't take it like that at all. I just wanted to post an even bigger score after reading that, so I did.

The secret is to kill certain enemies with the regular shot.

I should bring up the issue that's being discussed in the shmups chat thread, that being the game giving out lives when you fail. The high score boards in the game don't seem to discriminate with people failing a ton of times and getting a ton of lives. Losing lives or autobombing will hurt your score immensely, but nevertheless. For the time being this scoreboard will contain only the data the high score board in the game gives you. I'll be watching the chat thread for an official verdict.

Eventually you'll have 20 lives if you keep playing. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I just turned off autobomb and let the game play itself while a watched TV last night to get 20 lives for each mode. It will take people a little while before their scores have a chance of comparing, but it's really the only fair way to do things. Once you have 20 lives you're kind of stuck with them.

And yes, autobombing cuts 25% off your multiplier and so does dying. So if you autobomb and then die your multiplier takes a huge hit.

Does using the regular bomb affect your score? If so my high score for Death Label mode is going to be in the minus figures.

Using your bombs manually is only good for your score, unless you somehow manage to cancel zero bullets.

Hmm... you beat Novice to get Hard A, then Normal to get Hard B, then beat Hard A to get Hard C? I don't remember the order I unlocked those exactly. I guess that makes sense then.

On the topic of unlocking modes. I unlocked Death Label tonight without beating Very Hard. Must have just played it enough times or something else that the game gave it to me. I'm up to 16 lives on that mode I think now. Shit gets insane in the membrane. I've gotten so close too, to the last pattern of Doom even.
