These have started to crop up in gashapon machines across Japan now.

And what's the uber-mysterious chase ship in the set?

Wait for it...

MUSHA Aleste! :D

(Fair warning - some ads for figures at the site may be mildly NSFW)

So yeah, if you want botht he Spriggan MK2 and the MUSHA Aleste, you'll have to spring fro both the capsule and box versions. Clever marketing ploy, there, Yujin!
I most definitely hate your favorite shooter.
For the sake of our own sanity, let's not even talk about Psikyo, Battle Garegga, or DDP DOJ with each other.

Anyone know where I can get the capsule releases (full set, not randoms)?

Not sure how those of us who aren't travelling to Japan will be getting the M.U.S.H.A Aleste chase figure. NCSX only offered a full set of the regular figures and made no mention of inclusion of this particular secret item. Guess I'll need to start looking on ebay now.

The box set hasn't even been released yet has it? How do we know for certain that the box set won't contain at least 1 of each model?

Did anyone get a strange credit card charge from a third party after preordering these?

Just a longshot...............

I know NCSX doesn't charge until there shipped out. But my Paypal account recently got hacked. Paypal was able to figure it out in 4 days but still i've come to realize were not as secure as we once thought we were and i'm now changing passwords on a constant and Not using a Verified Paypal account. I had to disconnect the bank account so this doesn't happen again.

Check your accounts and cards on a constant and maybe daily basis!

Hmmm. That's worrying. I always thought getting your account verified made things more secure.

I'll second what Nate said on page one. The obscure/non-mainstream direction adds for a very nice variety of figures (more cute 'em up toys, please). I missed the first set. If I can afford it I'll pre-order the Sept. box and can only hope I get the sweet MUSHA Aleste figure.

I just e-mail NCS and I receive a reply. They said that the items has been shipped from Japan and they are going to get them in the next few days. Keep watching folks.

Wow, major credit problems now, and the last thing I used the card for was the preorder of the History v.2 set.

Be very very apprehensive before using NCSX, as others here seem to have had problems too......NCSX has several different sites, the main one, a preorder one and a Japanese one, don't know if they are all troublesome or just the non-main sites.........

How are you gentlemen liking the ships?

I've only assembled the Geo Sword...kinda strange the way I do it; just put one together and check it out for a while and then do another one; repeat. *I still haven't assembled an R-9 from the first collection...

I think it's remarkable that Yujin has boldy stated their definition of "Shooting Game" by creating dimensional crafts from sim-style shooters. I've personally never played Starblade or Star Luster; but the ships are still very candy-like and well crafted - and I like them a LOT!
I still think that their manifestation is a promise of *even* better things to come.

I'm very happy with the quality of the ships......Musha is very detailed and large (compared to the others). They are easier to assemble this time around, with only the R-Type and Raystorm ship needing glue to keep the tiny pieces in.

My only complaint is that some of the plastic pieces are bent from being squished in the containers. The R-Grey's nose ponits every which way but straight

Yeah, what the hell? I've not yet taken that one out, but it appears to be bent to the right up against the wall of the capsule!

Rat-farts!

Watch; they'll be nice in the "blind boxes" - undoubtedly w/ a blue color variant being passed off as "R-Gray 2".

Hey, the nose of my R-Gray slants to the right - it can't be "finger-plied" by bending it the other way for a while...no matter what; looks all fucked!

Anyone else have this problem? And, please spare me your "It's perfectly normal" comments.

I'm starting to think that Yujin did this on purpose just to fuck w/ everybody!

Some people had the same thing happen with the original set of ships. Putting the bent part in warm water for a few minutes then taking it out and holding it in the correct position is supposed to sort it out.

Did anyone get their YesAsia order for the boxset? I've just had an email from them saying that they won't be getting anymore in stock so have cancelled my order. I pre-ordered long before the deadline. Was this release cancelled?

It took a long while to go but finally my box ordered from play-asia arrived!

Cool ships, but no luck with Musha... Is anyone willing to sell me a Musha gashapon?

Edit: I got one of the lamest variants ever - footless, wingless, Opa Opa:

From what I understood, I never had the slightest chance to get Musha - "box" release comes with Spriggan Mk2 while "gashapon" (little plastic ball for vendor machines) release has Musha.

Please, someone in Japan, buy me a Musha. Spriggan is cool but Musha is cooler

For those with full sets, can I just confirm that the only variant this time round was the wing-less Opa Opa?

Yes. The only variant I got in my box set was the wingless Opa-Opa.

I also agree that its a pretty lame variant.

Mine only has the print on one side as well.

I think in that photo the person who got that version got one with two left legs, or at least two left-side printed panels instead of a corrected right panel with nothing.

Yeah, you're right, it's just two left peices as the right peice isn't moulded like that on the actual thing.

Typical of these gashapons.

With series 1, some people's ships were painted totally different (ie - black detail lines present on one Vic Viper missing on another...)
