I took the liberty of asking at the 2ch Ibara thread.
Post #816 & 817:
Question: Is Pink Sweets Ibara Black Label? Is it Ibara 2?
Answer: Pink Sweets = Ibara Black Label. Also known as Ibara 2.
Take that as you will, but common knowledge at 2ch holds up most of the time.

Now that's interesting...I was kinda under the impression that "Ibara 2" and "Ibara Black Label" were 2 different things...when the "black label" of DOJ came out, it was basically the same game but with a few changes, right? Maybe the only difference in the "black label" of Ibara is that they give the gals a new closetful of fetish wear, and everything else remains exactly the same.GaijinPunch wrote:Ibara Black Label. It looks like him a little bit, but whoever he is seems to be missing Bond's trademark glowing left eye. In any event, the idea of Bond somehow ending up as the Ibara girls' pimp is both somewhat amusing and incredibly wrong.Kiken wrote:Perhaps it's just me, but the lead "female" character wearing the pink feather-ruffled collar jacket actually looks like Bond (Negotiator Agent 01) with dyed hair.

Whats wrong is Bond/Agent01 joining the Rose Sisters as a transexual.BulletMagnet wrote:It looks like him a little bit, but whoever he is seems to be missing Bond's trademark glowing left eye. I said in this thread http://forum.shmups.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6892 it'd be interesting if Cave made a comical/"cute" shmup.
Dame Edna?
Oy, that is just wrong. That is...ick.Kiken wrote:Perhaps it's just me, but the lead "female" character wearing the pink feather-ruffled collar jacket actually looks like Bond (Negotiator Agent 01) with dyed hair.

Just wanted to clarify: as I say in the thread I linked to, I think it would be awesome if Cave made a manic vertical comical shmup. But when I say that I mean something with a theme more similar to Parodius or Star Parodia with truly cute-cartoony characters. A gay comedic Ibara is not what I had in mind.

I'd like to see some more 'fab' in something like that. Anyways, apparently opinions are mixed on exactly what Pink Sweets is. Looks like it could be Black Label, or it could be a sequel. They took the flyer down, which is weird. Morons.

I might be wrong but in that report where "Espgaluda 2" was announced as a future arcade project it didn't actually mention "Ibara 2" did it, just a new version of Ibara. People assumed it was a sequel but in hindsight surely they meant the Black Label version? Always seemed odd to me they'd do a sequel straight away and for a game that wan't huge. A Black Label for the die hard Cave/Raizing fans, OK, but both?

You should hope that Cave employees aren't reading this board, as this thread might give them ideas. Imagine it, a majong game featuring the Rose sisters, Professor Teresa, the female forms of Ageha and Tateha, Reko, Chain, Kosame, Exy (with Beltiana and Alteeno from Batsugun as super secret opponents)...BulletMagnet wrote:Gotta hand it to Cave, resurrecting both Raizing AND Psikyo at the same time. I asked Excellentcom about the flyer, Fannie checked with their supplier and asked if the flyer was for Ibara black label or Ibara 2 this was her response:

I believe Ibara was shown at AOU 2005, so if they are on the same schedule, we should have Ibara 2 late June 2006
So it looks like we get a brand new Ibara in the near futureDear Bob,
I asked the supplier your photos is Ibara 2 not yet know the release day.

According to coinopexpress.....
Ibara Black Label will fix some of the gameplay 'issues' the first version had.

posted in the PS2 Ibara thread:
Location test at HEY starting Jan. 26. Very interesting because a location test is usually done right before the official release, like 1 or 2 months. It would mean releasing a revision (Black Label) and sequel around the same time. Doesn't add up. I guess we'll know the answer soon, coming from the loke test player's feedback.Defcon 5 wrote:http://www.cave.co.jp/gameonline/pinksw ... index.html
