Playing it now. this game is AWESOME!!! .... now im making my way up to unlock ultra, where the real challenge is. Original is a breeze (1life'd it, no bombs just now... ).

Put in one quick go before bed on Original (Hell difficulty) and got to Larsa's second form before croaking. 312mil, using Reco (Normal).
Guess I'm not that rusty, after all. ^_-
It's pretty weird seeing one of my all-time favorite games on a 3" touchscreen, but hey, portability!

Cleared original - fine that switching is rather awkward.

And I accidentally drop a bomb here and there... Button needs a bit more spacing.

Move the bomb button to the opposite side....

Just unlocked ultra, seems great so far.

Got it and its great, but not much different from it's prequel. Maybe it takes some more playing to unveil the differences/improvements?

Biggest obvious improvement is the option to select between two main characters.

The music had catchier melodies in the prequel tho, thats for sure. :?

I lurked here long enough (done so for the last year or so).

Have been playing all the CAVE shmups on iOS and it is great to finally see Futari on iOS.

Perhaps I wasn't awake yet but the game is a bit more challenging than the Mushihimesama (1) iOS port. With that I could 1CC Original and Maniac Normal on my first try.

Tried to beat Original Hell, failed at Stage 3. Then Original Hard, failed at the tough Boss 4. After that I 1CC'ed Original Normal at about 85 million, first time I was so into the scoring mechanics.

Awesome game so far and the soundtrack has always been great ever since I played the 360 version.

Will continue to play this game for the upcoming weeks, don't think I will go back to 774 Deaths for now....

What is that "wait control" option for ? There was one for Blissful death as well, but I haven't seen any différence wether it's on or off...

I did some research on the cave-world page and it looks like the wait control option enables/disables slowdown on dense bullet patterns...

Wow, it really plays well on iOS. For me, it's my favourite shmup and being able to play it on the go is simply fantastic.

Now, if they'd only offer BL... :)

My mate bought this and played it on his iPad and it's not producing any sound. Max volume, sound settings are all good, and sound works in other apps.

Anyone else having this issue? :?

Same sad thing...My full run scores dont post to GC :( Single stages works ok.

Sadly my full Original run is not shown on the leaderboards as well. Perhaps a bug in Bug Princess 2? (poor attempt at being funny)

Balls. I just got 200 mil on Maniac, nothing fancy but it's not even on the local score thing. At least my 200 mil got on!

Anyone else lose their hit counter in Stage 4? I mean, I was at like 34k and it just went to zero. Nothing happened that would warrant it to drop.

I got pissed and quit,

How are you guys pulling gems in? Quickly tapping the shot/laser button?

if you have autobomb enabled (it's on by default) every time you autobomb it completely empties both counters. It's completely evil but entirely fair imho :wink:

Seems to be much harder on Normal than Bug Princess 1, still it's a walk in the park compared to real arcade normal difficulty.

I'm loving Bug Princess 2, but suffering from the leaderboard stuff to (as is BanjoTed). Sadly, I'm not sure it's a matter of waiting for scores to appear. The reason I say that is that some scores of mine are uploading, and some aren't.

Firstly I 1LC'd Original/Normal - No score uploaded.

Then I had a go at Original/Hell and messed up. Game over at about stage 3. - My score was uploaded.

Then I just 1CC'd Original/Hard - No score uploaded.

I suspect that if you loose all your lives before the game's end, you get your score uploaded. If you clear the game; no score. Does anyone else's experience match that?

@Spadgy: Seems something like that. Although I did beat Ultra Novice with 77 million and the score I had previouly was overwritten. I guess we indeed need to wait for CAVE to release an update.

Game is way more difficult than Bug Princess 1, which I could easily get 1CC's on Original Hell, Maniac Normal and Ultra Normal. Here Original Hell and Ultra Novice are already kicking my ass, sometimes I am able to get a nice streak going though.

Gotta keep practising so I am able to get to Stage 5 on 1CC and rake in the millions from those nifty lanterns! Gotta destroy them all in one run as well.

Anyone know how many there are exactly? Remembering seeing images for DDP Daifukkatsu with the Bee locations, something similar available for Futari?
