Only 3,100 final bid? Guess I'm not the only one pissed at Treasure. No Iuchi, no Project RS3, no nothing; Treasure's future(or lack thereof) looks bleak. I suspect nobody really cares about Gun Beat, perhaps it was canned with the prospect nobody would drop coins for it.

Yeah I found it. Crappy quality too.

I can see why the flyer is of some interest though.

I'd rather have this. Treasure-wise, hmm, there's things I'd rather have than this flyer with poor artwork. I'm sure the game would be cool though.

gonna be honest with you, gunbeat probably wouldn't have been that great of a game, anyway. at least i wouldn't have found it very much fun.

so glad we got shit like ADVANCE GUARDIAN HEROES instead.

Yeah but what have they done lately? Nothing for nobody! Bangai-O Spirits was fun though.

After Gradius V, that team basically spent a few years porting Ikaruga to 360 and working on a new 360 shmup that was 'put aside' (if not cancelled) to work on Sin and Punishment 2.

Earlier this year Iuchi commented on Project RS3 on his blog, but nobody seems to have provided a clear translation of what exactly he says:

he only positive result I can speak of for Bangai-O Spirits was the release of the Bangai-O Audio Collection. Otherwise, not owning a DS nor intending to ever get one sort of sours the deal. Brief testing on a system and through emulation didn't perk any appeal beyond what was accomplished in the Dreamcast Bangai-O. It's not a bad game just not interesting enough at this point, specifically for myself not a good platform for it to be on either.

Also, I don't Gradius 5 much at all but when I do I usually enjoy the time spent. However, when speaking about Treasure in the present day it seems rarely there is good news, specifically about Iuchi and lack thereof towards news of Project RS3, both aspects which lend themselves that RS3 is in purgatory until further notice.

The major confusion going on here, is that Project-RS3 never existed. His project on 360 wasn't RS3. He said a MILLION times that it wasn't RS3, but the shmup community refused to listen. This comment is about the future of the shooter market should he ever try to do RS3 and has nothing to do with any game that was ever being worked on as far as I can tell.
