PVM 20m4u video out into XRGB Mini

Post by Glossectomy »

So I'm trying to get video on both my 20m4u (for playing in TATE) and into my XRGB Mini for capturing. I have 2 scart to BNC cables. One carries from say my Saturn into the pvm, the second is hooked up to the video out on the back. From there I have a male to male scart cable from the cable into the XRGB Mini. I'm getting picture like normal on the PVM, but I'm not getting any on the XRGB Mini.

This should work from my understanding, but I'm having trouble. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Did you check that the BNC to SCART cable is wired up for the 21 pin Japanese RGB pinout? Same connector as SCART but a different wiring scheme. Alternatively I think there are male-male adapters for converting between the pinouts.

Might be a signal levels issue - maybe you need to run the inputs though a SCART switch like everybody else.

I have 2 scart to BNC cables
SCART to BNC is wired differently than BNC to SCART.

To change the direction of the cable you have to flip pins 19 and 20 on the Scart end of the cable.

So should I change the pin on the scart to BNC connector or on the male to male scart lead?

Thanks for the suggestions.

And yes, the Mini is setup to accept scart.
