You're damn good. This game is bloody tough. I hate the pinball section..

MJR - 93,400 - J - PS2

I love this game.. this was the first capcom game I ever saw, when it came out in arcades. I thought it had best graphics I had ever seen. Mind you I was what? Ten year old?

While it's probably pretty obvious, I'll point out my score is somewhat inflated by the fact I kept dying and respawning right before the spinner in J.

Ok, I couldn't bear the thought of having such a low score, so I just gave it a quick shot.

94 290 at Section K.

Actually, this game is sorta fun... I like it much more then Forgotten Worlds (that OTHER jet pack shooter)

Yar, got the clear.

Ghegs - 358,070 - 2Q - PS2

That "2Q" means "second loop, section Q". And this run was even recorded, the video can be found at my site.

I couldn't get past the spiky balls on the second loop.

Perikles - 916,500 - 4-W - MAME

Dammit! Had some cringeworthy chain deaths that prevented a 4-ALL or a 5-ALL. You guys are all lazy hacks for not clearing multiple loops of this bodacious game.

It should also be noted that at least the version I played has extends set to 20,000/every 50,000 by default, had to change that beforehand. Might upload the video, but it's one hour long, that's gonna be fun.

This is also one of those titles BIL could write one of his supreme essays on, the atmosphere and the almost action-platformery style are top-notch. It's just you and this dark, bleak space fortress, scrolling in all directions, evoking a disorientating, oppressive feeling. It's so much fun tossing grenades and zipping through narrow shaft and corridors, surgically taking out enemies.

Perikles - 1,600,080 - 7-Q - MAME

You don't even get score-based extends after passing a million points anymore, what a scam. But I should be thankful, who knows how many hours I could've played this one if I would've gotten more extra lives.

Edit: here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wobiOoDf114

Square_Air - 466,100 - 2-Y - ShmupMAME 4.2

Almost cleared the second loop, but I wasn't expecting the bullet frequency to double immediately when you enter section 2-Y. Sorry Perikles, I couldn't quite graduate from "lazy hack" :( maybe next time. There's a lot to love in this game, but there's certainly a few quirks and glitches that can make the experience a little unintentionally frustrating (getting stuck on walls, odd hitboxes, the second boss went completely invisible on one run). The glitch that gave me a good laugh is when one of the enemies flew right off the screen and got stuck in the score box for about 15 seconds while it freaked out like it was aware of its sudden Lovecraftian fate!

This is quite a fun game. If this game was a bit more polished (and possibly had a Deathsmiles "2 button directional fire" system instead of 1 fire button and a dedicated turn button) it would be a wonderful gem. It's still very playable though, definitely recommended.
