I heard about this game from a coworker, of all people. I've been playing it almost non-stop since I got it! Shmups that encourage resource management have generally been my favorite, so this game feels right down my alley. I'm not a huge fan of the variable rank in Hyper so I've pretty much solely been playing Parallel - hopefully I can keep at this game long enough to get a decent 1CC. Normal is pretty fun too but I'm not sure how I feel about not being able to suicide with bombs in stock - I imagine high level runs of that mode will be really strict in regards to bomb usage because of that.

EDIT: Special weapon used was Hyper Laser, not Burst Laser. I was totally thinking of something else, haha.

Bit too easy, this mode. 1cc at the first attempt, this score was from my 3rd run. The scoring makes it somewhat fun, but more challenge would be nice as well. Hopefully Hyper mode has more to offer...

Slight improvements. I haven't found a consistent route for stage 5 yet. It doesn't help that it's such a resource hog too since there's no ground enemies to refill your gauge and the stage is so long (and you need to spend meter to speedkill bosses if you want to score optimally, but let's not go there right now).

Died on the last pattern of the TLB, in typical me fashion. Aside from reaching the TLB the run itself was pretty subpar - if I scored just a little better this run then I could have come into the TLB with enough lives to just cheese it out.

Took me long enough. This run started out pretty sloppy but I still managed to clear thanks to a few lucky dodges at the end. I might take a short break but I'd still like to push my score further. I'm missing a bunch of break bonuses, and my chains can definitely be improved throughout the run. My stage 5 route in particular is still about 25% improvisation.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure you have to beat the TLB to clear the game. You can time out each individual phase, but as far as I know you still have to play and survive through all five phases no matter what.
