3 lives, Normal difficulty, extend at 400,000. The various ports may be easier by default, I'm not sure.

Post scores in this format:
Code:
CHARACTER
NAME - SCORE - STAGE - PLAYER SIDE - AUTOFIRE - DETAILS

DETAILS is for what model of console and release of cart/disc, or what emulator and version; there are quite a few releases of the arcade version alone.

In MLF, Ash is renamed Jason Last, Valnus is renamed MILF 2000 (yeah), and Tetsu is renamed John Suarez.

Lost every spare life in 2-4........... I don't even know.
Every other stage was perfect, by all means should have been a clear :(

Still, one million points club GET.

Congrats on the ALL and a very good score! I assume that was with Marion?

Yeah with Marion. And, actually, the score is awful  You'd be hard pressed to score less than this on a clear. I used way too many bombs in the first loop and didn't do any scoring trick at all.

But thanks

Valnus
endoKarb - 822,800 - 2-1 - 1P - Yes - Mame Plus! 0.159

It's a start...
Died on Train after a disastrous 1-7.

Looks like Valnus absolutely needs to enter Train with enough bombs, dying halfway through to replenish isn't an option. On the other hand his Train is a bit easier and the rest of the random stage never require more than 1 bomb (2-3 Castle could be the lone exception).

I like Valnus a lot but I hate that I have to actually fight the final boss; he can be so annoying, especially in the second loop. You also have to fight Dragon and the big head in 2-5 but those are more fun, especially 2-6 Dragon.

EDIT: Might as well dump the other 1-ALLs

Yuan Nang
endoKarb - 765,300 - 2-1 - 1P - Yes - Mame

Ash
endoKarb - 679,100 - 2-1 - 1P - Yes - Mame

Random run with Ash, don't have any real practice with him yet. I'm kinda curious to see how the loop plays with him; he's seems pretty weak overall.

Go for it! The last stage is actually pretty easy with Marion if you know how to abuse her homing stars with point-blank autofire/rapid tapping (see endoKarb's Marion 2-ALL). I got my 1-ALL on my first credit that reached the last stage (I practiced it before through credit-feeding).

Look at all these new clears. Good job guys!
Marion sure got popular lately.

Is anyone gonna try and take on the loop? That's where the real fun starts!
It's not as hard as it looks, it's all about getting used to those suicide bullets. And bombing hard.

The input lag in MAME unfortunately leaves me more willing to play Psikyo's later games, which have just one frame of lag as opposed to three. Dragon Blaze will probably keep me busy for a while...

She's adorable isn't she? And OP too!

But yeah input lag is pretty annoying. It's not really a deal breaker for me, I just wish I could get an idea of what it's like on the PCB.

Someone told me to check this game out, so I managed to pull through with a cheesy clear. Hopefully I won't get the train for 2-1 next time.

Now to practice on MILF 2000!

Here is the run in the first 20 min, the quality is pretty poor probably because my network card is faulty, but I think I will keep playing it for a proper video and to score a bit higher https://www.twitch.tv/videos/149833346
As archaic as this game is compared to later Psikyo titles I find it pretty fun, especially with Yuan Nang.

Thanks Plasmo and cream :). And don't worry, my next goal is 1,6m and I'll sure record a good replay for that.
