Got my first 1cc for a Cave shmup which was Deathsmiles so adding that to my list. Next on my list is Dodonpachi.

A couple more easy ones to add to my list:

Override (PC Engine, default difficulty)

Batsugun Special Version (Arcade, 1st loop)

Override was actualy a 1st attempt complete. It was only after a few levels that I realised you could stop firing and build up a charge shot...

Made it to level 4 on the 2nd loop of Batsugun. I didn't look up any scoring tips beforehand, so I finished with a fairly modest score of something like 4.7 million.

EDIT: Just beat Lethal Thunder. Final score 5,098,760 (No high score thread? Aw...) Naturally, using autofire. I tried Thunder Blaster as well, as I read some comments that seemed to suggest it was an easier version, but it has checkpoints, and some areas that seemed a bit trickier. Don't know why it's regarded as easier, maybe it has fewer levels.

EDIT EDIT: Just beat the ESD game Fire Hawk. Yeah, I know it's crappy, but it's also pretty easy. That makes it 3 arcade 1CCs in 3 days. Now trying to think of a suitably easy game to keep the run going...

I'll 1-All Dimahoo this year. I just got he game and after my first couple hours with it I got to Stage 5 boss. It is brutal though, I'll give you that!

I hope you enjoy getting fucked by rank when you get collecting item sets.

Just beat Twin Cobra II (surprisingly easy for a Takumi game).

Tried to stay alive without bombing for as long as possible, used a couple of hyper bombs on the level 3 boss, died once on level 4, but recovered fairly quickly and beat the last level easily even though I'd never seen it before. Final score was a respectable enough 8 million.

I did, and I know of a few other people. I simply forsake to score, so that I could keep the rank at a lowish level. The score was pathetic, I got the second extend on Tsumujimaru. I actually think that 1-CCing the game without completing any item list is a feat by itself!

I also remember you saying that 30m+ is easy

Yes.

30M and 1CC is not. I went for the simple 1CC out of sheer frustration with the game's difficulty, in fact.

Also, list updated with a few more titles I completed in the last 5 years.

Rando's 1cc list is basically every shmup in existence.

I see Cybattler in your list. May I ask how did you kill the last boss? That fucker might be the most annoying boss I ever came across.

Every *easy* one, you mean? I don't really have any 1-CCs of hard and mean titles, such as the later Psykios, or the Pachis. As far as I am concerned, a 2-loops ALL of DDP (or DOJ, Ketsui, Dragon Blaze...) trumps any of my results.

Also, the first one I 1-CC'ed was ThunderCade, in 1987. A quarter of a century is a long time to nail all these 1-CCs.

Just to brag a bit. I should reach quote 340 or so, if I consider ALL arcade games I 1-CC'ed. Again, though, I finished stashes of very easy titles. It's true that that I 1-CC'ed some titles at maximum difficulty (e.g. the piss-easy King of Dragons).

I will play the game again tonight, and try to recall. I can recall that the boss requires a very simple, but tricky type of attack that takes you forever to kill him. I can't recall what exactly is, though. I will keep you posted ;)

Just beat Sorcer Striker.

First time I beat Gigaface on level 6 and got the 'Stage Clear' message, I wasn't aware that, just when you think the credits are about to roll, Bashinet jumps out and starts shooting again. So I wasn't exactly prepared...

Took me ages to actually get back to that part again, this time I had a couple of lives to spare. Made it to level 2 in the loop. Final score: 1,760,720.

Did you use the wizard? Because the game is indeed piss-easy when you use him, but not so much with the other characters. Try beating the game with the elf.

I 1-CC'ed the game with all characters, at maximum difficulty, back in the day. I wasn't even the only one, in my arcade. Wizard and Elf are not difficult to master, thanks to their projectile weapons. Fighter, Cleric and Dwarf require mastery of close-range combat.

I must say that I played this to *death*, from publication to late '93 (or, whenever Gaiapolis was published). Among the Fantasy titles of the period, it is one of the easiest.

...in topic. I am still trying to recall how to beat the final boss in Cybattler, sorry ;)

And, 1-CC'ed Zanac Neo. Which one will be my 100th?

1CCed Perfect Cherry Blossom, just barely, with Sakuya A. I realize the game is easy, and I'm playing with the strongest character, but a year ago there's no way I would have been able to 1CC a game in an afternoon like I did this one.

Cleared the first loop in Kingdom Grand Prix, using Bornnam. Didn't qualify for the 2nd loop so my score wasn't too impressive, 662,805.

I've got a LOT of novice/easy mode clears, but I'm leaving them out unless I feel they're significant somehow.
