Don't know how it plays yet, but it sure looks weird...and amazing!

I wanted to try it and just redeemed one of the unused keys in the other thread, thinking it would still be an earlier beta build. But looks like this is actually the release version, is that so? If so I would feel bad about this, and I'll make sure to gift a few copies to friends.

Edit: Okay... played a few runs and clearly this is not your typical shmup. I'll have to approach this one with a different mindset :) Couldn't get very far, but every stage so far was choke full of special moments. This is going to be interesting.

There is a few mistakes/typos in the stats screen ("Deaths: 5 sec", survival time has no unit...). And I can't seem to turn vsync "off".

Thanks, everyone! Hope you are all enjoying it, as the game was designed to target neophytes in the shmup world I am curious how veterans are going to approach it :)

Kollision, fourth stage, take the left hand path; I'll leave it at that :P

kane, no problem in taking a key, the more the merrier :D the gist of the game is that it is less based on memorization or reflexes, and more to picking the right choice of weapons for the right situations; it is pretty flexible, as you will soon see.

Interesting aesthetic; awesome visual creativity.
Congrats on your release. Sadly... I'm on a mac.

I have seen all of the stages now, the style and presentation is really striking. Enjoying it a lot. Also the enemy health update today really made this play much better!

Also wanted to point out that there is a few audio related issues in the military themed stage (can't recall the name, "cycle of blood" maybe?)

1- Explosion sounds seem to overlap and cause some unpleasant distortion.

2- It seems the boss music really suffered from lossy compression, reminds me of the olden days where I had to be content with 128bit mp3s. Metal tracks don't take that much compression very well, there are lots of audio artifacts, enough to distract from the action. Kinda sticks out when the rest of the presentation is so good.

A couple of additional minor issues:

1- During some runs after defeating retrobot the boss music kept playing on top of the stage clear theme.

2- Stats screen: "Playtime 0 hours & 250 minutes" :) Also 3-digit survival time etc. numbers seem to overlap with "secs"

On that note, there is a big difference (1 hour) between my playtime tracked by Steam, and the stats screen. I am pretty sure Steam is accurate.

kane, thanks for your feedback! I'm adressing some bugs for players that could not unlock continues today, but I'll be checking on the issues you pointed very soon; aside from those problems, I hope your experience with the game has been a pleasant one. Any further feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the frequent updates. I've just played 1.02 and noticed a few odd things:

- There is some sort of extend strangeness going on. Sometimes when I exit drive without getting hit I get like 5 extends all at once. Could be a scoring bug too, unfortunately I won't have another chance to play for a while so I cannot check this atm.

- Landmine sound distortion is still the same for me, even though the change log says it is fixed.

- There was some sound effect periodically playing in the background constantly. It is not noticeable over the music, but becomes obvious on the score screen. Restarting the application didn't help.

Hey kane, thanks for the heads-up! Indeed there were issues with this latest patch; instead of giving bonus score of what you scored during drive, it was giving your *entire score* again; needless to say, this broke scoring completely. Also, the weird sound was the end of stage multiplier reset feedback sound; that was set to loop by mistake. The audio distortions were a bit more difficult to fix, because it is a systemic issues of triggering so many sounds at once; but I do believe the corrections I did made it less annoying.

Any further fixes, hit me; my life at the present moment does not have anything more interesting then working obsessively on INX anyways :p

I refunded it because it runs at about 20FPS even with the resolution lowered. I don't know if the issue is with the game or my laptop, my laptop easily fits all the system requirements on the store page

What a shame, MaXXX! As it happens, I indeed had reports of slowdowns on some machines, and just rolled an update to fix those; this problems often happens with laptops with onboard video cards, and it is an issue of the engine I use, Game Maker. Anyways, here's hoping you can try the game again some other time!

Been watching Dent4FacE stream this today, looks pretty cool. I like that some of the stages and bosses have unique game mechanics beyond just the aesthetic (though the aesthetic is pretty great too).
