can anyone tell me why when im playing, even if i have used 6 credits to complete the game it says "continues 0" on the ranking?

Is the score used on the initials screen the one you got on the first credit? Some games keep track of your highest score; if you continue but get a lower score, it tosses it out and goes with the first one on the initials screen.
Typos caused by cat on keyboard.
