I beleive in my heart this right site to post this thread...

What a year it was there was 3 16 bit systems 2 8 bit systems 3 handhelds
the neo geo and the super grafix. Was anybody watching a show called game pro that started late in 1991 and was recording it. I was i got the first 2 or 3 months of it. I know it aired for at least a year but i missed out on it becuase the love of my life dropped me right after xmas in 1991 that was the most depessing newyears i ever had. Any way becuas of that i missed out on a lot great games for super nes game gear and sega cd in 92 and 93. i have been hard core collecting for almost 10 years and still have many more games to find from 92 and 93 i may never find. I missed out
on a brand new turbo duo i heard at the end the 93 they selling them for
30 dollars what a tragedy. i own two of them years later but now i probably will never own one brand new.One last thing what was the most
violent game that came by 1991 i can only think and it is harmless comprared
to what going now... Splatter house for t16/pc-engine. i could on but i think i made my point a little bit....

I know what you mean, Darius11, but for me it was more 1990 that was the "best year ever" for games. 1991 was a close second, since we finally got our hands on the SNES.

To keep this Shmup-related, 1990 was the year of Super Star Soldier

Yeah, he's made two topics there that seem handcrafted to make people shake their heads in disbelief. It could use some refinement, seems a little too fake.

Oh well! About the GamePro show, I remember staying up late at night to catch it (as for some reason 3 AM is when they thought kids wanted to watch video guides of Sonic The Hedgehog's 1st boss), but I just couldn't make it.

Guys, i only scratched the surface of this thread. I truely am shump fan.
thunderforse 3 and blazing lazers totally changed my life and i am just getting started to what i have to say... i own shumps for every single system and hand held that has come out for the last 2 decades not mentions arcade board shmups and full size upright arcade games and coctails i truely i a die hard shmup collector. But there are a few systems i will probably never own the mighty msx2 and the incrediblex68000(it's been so long i forgot how many 0's there is) thus i'll never get play games like space manbow or gradius 90. Damit...

I have no idea why this post is not getting any feedback, maybe i was wrong to post it. i had so much i wanted i say but no one posting so it's pointless...i mean this site is all abot shmups i have waited for years to post this. this might stimulate some action has any body been to the web site room of doom. There is one guy who has been colecting for 3 years
and it mind blowing what he accumulated he puts me to shaime in neo geo aes and import arcade machines. He has quite few advantages that i will never have, he is wealthy, he lives tokyo, and he lives in a house that must be at least a half a millon dollars. God only what he will accumilate this time next year... come on guys make this post grow i put my heart and soul into this and i have not evan begun to unload i need some of vets to put there input in this thread if you don't than i just wasted my time becuase i really thought this was the site to post this thread... one last in thing in my opion gradius for pc-engine is the port ever!!!

I always find funny how hardcore collectors says "Oh, I will never manage to get an MSX2", and I do own one. I actually own 3 MSXs systems, and I am very far away from being a "hardcore colector".

To start off with, what i was trying to say out of all of the gradius ports the pc-engine version in my opioion is the best ever! That system was so far ahead of it's time. A few other other things i would like to say am i the only one that is upset the sega is not in this next gen race? And how many of you wish nec would make a come back. I am sorry i forgot your screen name the guy who quotes the world needs a perfect port of thunder blade i could not agree with you any more than a 150 + percent why it has never been done is beyond me...

Perhaps Darius11 didn't realize that the Shmups forum was out there.

I don't see why everyone is posting so negatively. SAM types in somewhat broken English, but that's because it's likely a 2nd language for him. My guess is that Darius11 is also not a native English speaker.
